What is professional care?
“Professional care includes self-responsible care and support, alone or in cooperation with other professionals, people of all age groups, families or life communities, as well as groups and social communities, whether ill or healthy, in all life situations health, the prevention of diseases and the care and care of sick, disabled and dying people. Training as a health care assistant is 3 years. In the course of the training, you will visit 2100 hours of tuition in block form. Between the theoretical phases, you will be trained at stations in our 5 hospitals in practical care. In the second year of training, you also have practical training in home care, in specialist clinics for psychiatry and in a children’s clinic (2500 hours). As part of the training, you also complete 80-120 hours of night watch.
In the classroom, you acquire the knowledge bases that enable you to become a professional caregiver of people. The subjects of nursing and health sciences, anatomy, physiology, pathology, social science, psychology, law, German and communication, etc. are centered on them in learning areas.
During the practical training sessions, you will learn how to identify the need for care of people in need of care as well as the planning, implementation and review of the care performed. The teams of the stations and qualified practitioners guide you and show you how to nurture patients competently and to involve patients’ reference persons.

The final exam
The final examination consists of a written, an oral and a practical part. These examinations take place during the last three months of training. After the successful completion of the examination, you will be given the right to be awarded the title of “Health Care Nurse” by the Department of Health of the Government of Oberbayern with the certificate and the certificate. Their professional qualifications are recognized in all EU countries. A repeat check is possible.
Health and Nursing is an internationally recognized, crisis-proof and fascinating profession. They can work internationally in all facilities where qualified nurses are employed (eg hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, psychiatric clinics, home care, inpatient care, personal care, health insurance, public administration, etc.).
After completing the apprenticeship, you will be able to continue your professional career training and become a qualified nurse for intensive care and anesthesia, oncology, rehabilitation, nephrology, surgery, endoscopy, etc. You can also qualify for the management of a ward, Praxisanleiter / in.
With an intermediate school leaving certificate, a completed vocational training and the proof of three years of professional activity, you are able to acquire a degree. There is the possibility of crediting already acquired competences.
Bachelor nursing courses qualify as nursing experts for practical care. Care management courses are designed for management tasks in the care sector. Nursing education courses prepare you for work in schools and in continuing education and training institutions. With a degree in nursing science you can work in research.
In Master’s degree programs, you acquire competencies to work as an Advanced Nurse Practicioner. With this qualification, you are able to perform your own healing tasks within the scope of the extended nursing practice.
After a doctorate in the department of nursing, you can teach and research at a university.
